Hi, I’m Karen

I specialize in helping patients find hope. I utilize a variety of therapies to address the individual needs of each person.

I utilize a holistic approach to practice. I’m here to meet you where you are.

Many patients struggling with depression, anxiety, trauma, and grief also have underlying issues such as low self-esteem and trust which impede their recovery. I want to help you recover and move forward to live your best life!

Karen Fouts, LSCSW

MY BACKGROUND: I studied clinical psychology and social work at the University of Kansas. During my studies, I had the great opportunity to become a research assistant for C.R. Snyder, Ph.D. in the area of “Hope" research. We explored how individuals may lose hope and regain it using the framework and tools developed by his work and others.

This work has influenced my practice over the years, adding a unique therapy skillset to help those who have lost hope recover.

During my career, I have provided therapy in a variety of settings including inpatient behavioral health, acute hospital, senior care, and outpatient clinics.

Throughout the years, I have witnessed how damage to the “self” through abuse, trauma, loss, and illness can impact individuals throughout their life.

I am honored to help many individuals find their true sense of self and heal by developing the skills they need for a better future.

I look forward to helping you too!

It is not in the stars to hold our destiny but in ourselves.
